Cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Natascha McElhone, Rupert Graves, Michael Kitcben, Alan Cox, Lena Headey, Amelia Bulhnore, Sarah Badel, Oliver Ford Davies, Katie Carr, John Sitting, Robert Hardy, Margaret Tyzack, and Phyllis Calvert. (97 minutes, 1998)

The Believer: Brutal evaluation of a yeshiva informed youthful guy in N.Y.C. who opts to become a neo-Nazi skinhead. Gosling gives a stellar performance as a Jew (loosely based on truth) whose rationale is controversial however whose desire is genuine. R. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell, Glenn Fitzgerald, Ronald Guttman, and Henry Bean. (98 minutes, 2002)

Foxy Brown: Bloodshed and little else in this story of Nurse Grier and her vendetta against a drug ring that has slaughtered her lover. Cast includes Pam Grier, Peter Brown, Terry Carter, and Kathryn Loder. (94 minutes, 1974)

The Kingdom: The terrorism story is reinvented as an action film. It is a blood-pumping tale of an elite FBI team that voyages surreptitiously to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to examine a massive explosion at a U.S. living area. Cast includes Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom, Ali Suliman, Jeremy Piven, Danny Huston, Richard Jenkins, Frances Fisher, Anna Deavere Smith, and Tim McGraw. (110 minutes, 2007)

Blink: Did she or didn’t she see a murderer leaving the scene of the crime? That’s the main query while gorgeous and strong willed musician Stowe, who is blind. Tale depends on viewer’s acceptance of screenwriter’s gimmick of “retroactive vision,” a post-surgery reaction. Best thing in film is Stowe; alternatively this strolls onto the too recognizable blind-female-in-danger region.
